There are basically 2 ways to get married in Mexico:

1. Official marriage certificate included

You can get officially married in Mexico biut the (somewhat complicated) paperwork will take some time, and cost you some money. We will be able to help you. The following documents are required:

  • Birth certificate of both persons invloved, with apostille and translated in Spanish by a translator officially recognied in Mexico
  • Signed forms of the Mexican government
  • Approval for the marriage by National Migration Authorities in Mexico.

The total costs for all this will be approximately 1,200 USD. The wedding can take place at any location requested (also at the beach).

A couple of days after the wedding you need to go to the registration office to collect your marriage certificate. With this certificate you can shown in your home country that you are legally married. The document will need an apostille as well (20 USD per paper).

2. A symbolic marriage

In case you do not like all the paperwork, and would just like to get symbolically married in Mexico, we can offer a wide scale of possibilities, like a traditional Maya wedding, or even a wedding under water!

Our recommendation: Don't spend your money on all the paperwork in Mexico. Save it for your holidays and use part of it for your symbolic wedding in Mexico. Back home you can go to the registration office and get married by law: this saves a lot of time and money!

Choose from these options and fulfill your Mexican wedding dream
