CONVENT ROUTE MEXICO & SILVER TOWN TAXCO
Travelling along the convent route in Morelos (a neighboring state of Mexico City) gives you the opportunity to get to know Mexico away from the crowds of tourists. In connection with a visit to the silver city of Taxco we have created for you a wonderful 4-day trip which you can add to your round trip (before or afterwards).
You meet your guide in Mexico City or at the airport of Cuernavaca. Then you travel through the Sierra Madre to the picturesque silver city of Taxco. Hotel Monte Taxco 4****
You visit to the caves of Cacahuamilpa, the most impressive caves in Mexico. From there you go to the beautifully situated and little visited site of Xochicalco. The day ends at the Hacienda Vista Hermosa 4**** where you spend the night.
On the convent route you will visit the monasteries of Tlayacapan and Yecapixtla before you arrive at the picturesque mountain village of Tepoztlan. Hotel Posada Tepozteco 4****/Boutique
You hike (about 2 hours) up the Tepozteco Mountain. Your reward is a spectacular view from the pyramid over the valley. The day ends with the return trip to Mexico City or the transfer to the airport of Cuernavaca.
