You spend the night either in the tent or in the Hotel La Huerta.

Day 1: Mexico City- Arrival
Upon arrival at the international airport of Mexico City you receive a transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Teotihuacan & Texcoco
In the morning you will meet your guide and your first excursion will take you to the world famous archaeological site of Teotihuacan with the magnificent Sun and Moon Pyramid. Later, on your way back, you will stroll through the nearby forest to a traditional "Pulquería". There you can try "Pulque", the traditional "drink of the gods" which is produced from fermented agave. In the late afternoon you will return to the city and enjoy a nice evening program.

Day 3: Ajusco & Coyoacán
Today you leave early in the morning to climb the "mountain of the Chilangos", the Ajusco. Before you ascent you will enjoy a delicious breakfast at the foot of the mountain. After 1.5 hours we will arrive the summit at about 3900 m, from where you have a wonderful view of the southern part of the metropolis. On a clear day you can see the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl. On our way back you will visit the UNAM, the largest university in Mexico. From there the journey takes you to the tranquil neighborhood of Coyoacán, where you can either visit the art market or the Frida Kahlo museum.

Day 4: Guanajuato (State of Guanajuato)
In the morning the rental car is delivered directly to your hotel. Your journey takes you to Guanajuato which is famous for its tunnels, colonial buildings and artistic and cultural scene. You will stroll through the small streets until you reach the "Callejón del Beso", where the houses are so close together that lovers can kiss each other from their windows, according to legend. Enjoy the afternoon and evening in the labyrinth of this magical town.

Today you will drive to Bernal in the state of Querétaro, one of the most popular Pueblos Mägicos and known throughout the country because of its gigantic monolith, the Peña de Bernal. You will enjoy a stroll through the village where you may want to taste the famous "Gorditas", filled corn pies. Later you circle the mountain Peña de Bernal to reach Rancho ChiChiD'ho where you stay for the next 2 nights.

Day 6: Bernal (State of Querétaro)
Today the ascent of the Peña de Bernal is on the agenda. The climb on a good trail plus some steps is easy to master and not too strenuous. On the top you will enjoy a magnificent view of the village of Bernal and its surroundings. If you are an experienced climber we recommend the multi-pitch tour at Peña de Bernal. You can also climb with an experienced guide.
You will enjoy a romantic evening on Rancho ChiChiD'ho where once a UFO was sighted. You can cook together with the owner Fernanndo Landin and relax at the campfire.

Day 7: Xilitla (State San Luis de Potosí)
Today you continue to the magic village Xilitla in the beautiful region Huasteca Potosina. Numerous indigenous community still work the fertile land in a traditional way and exercise traditional rituals. Coffee and brown sugar are produced here and are known for their high quality.
During a visit of the surrealist botanical garden Las Pozas you will admire the sculpures by the artist Edward James, among them "La Escalera al Cielo", Stairway to Heaven).

Day 8: Grutas de Tolantongo (State of Hidalgo )
The thermal springs Grutas de Tolantongo are an ideal place to relax body and soul. The huge limestone cave lies in a deep canyon and from numerous holes thermal water of 38 °C emerges and forms a river. You linger and explore the passages of the cave system and directly at the exit you enjoy the river's thermal water. Don't forget your bathing suit!
Later in the afternoon you walk among high cacti for about 15 minutes to the so-called "Pozas" (natural thermal pools). From there you have a magnificent view of the canyon and the river. Relax and enjoy the sunset. In the evening you can put up your camp right at the river or you can rent a room at a local hotel.)

Day 9: Mineral del Chico (State of Hidalgo)
Mineral del Chico is a small former mining village, beautifully located in the mountains of Pachuca. As soon as you arrive in the village, you should try the classic snack of the region, the so-called "pastes", small pies with different fillings. From the Restaurante Las Manzanas in the lush forests around the village you have a view of the impressive cliff "Las Monjas" (the Nuns). There you have the opporunity for a relaxing walk or you can climb a boulder on one of the drilled routes. Later in the afternoon you return to the Restaurante Las Manzanas, where you can enjoy a delicious local fish called "Trucha en Hoja Santa". You can set up your tent in the lovely garden of the restaurant.)

Day 10: Cuetzalan del Progreso (State of Puebla)
Today you will continue to Cuetzalan, one of the most beautiful Pueblos Mágicos in the Sierra Norte de Puebla. On your way you make a stop at the agricultural cooperative Tosepan (http://www.tosepan.com/) that promotes traditional indigenuous agriculture. In Cuetzalan you explore the picturesque village with its cobbled streets, the mystical cemetery and the impressive cathedral. Finally you can visit a typical "Cantina" (Mexican pub) for a couple of beers or a Mezcal.)

Day 11: Cuetzalan del Progreso (State of Puebla)
Today you explore the area of Cuetzalan with its crystal clear rivers and waterfalls. You can swim through a narrow gorge until you arrive at the spectacular waterfalls "Salto de Cuichat" and "Las Brisas". After the refreshing bath your journey takes you to Yohualichan, an archeological and mystical pre-Columbian site.
In the evening you can go for a shopping tour in Cuetzalan or you relax in a cabaña.

Day 12: Puebla (State of Puebla)
Today, after some time in the province, you will return to Puebla, located next to the volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl. The city attracts visitors due to its colonial architecture and cultural activities. Here you can try the traditional dish "Mole Poblana", a sauce with chocolate and chilli. We recommend a visit of the stunning archaelogical complex of Cholula.

Day 13: Tepoztlan (State of Morelos)
The last station of your journey is Tepoztlan, a popular weekend destination for the inhabitants of Mexico City. The center impresses with its colorful market and ancient convent. On a steep path you can hike up the Tepozteco, a mountain with a small pyramid on the top. From there you have a wonderful view of the entire region. You can also book canyoning which takes you along beautiful waterfalls. In the evening you can enjoy a massage or a Temazcal.

Day 14: Mexico City and return flight
Today you will return your rental car in Mexico City before you fly back home.
Optional: You can book a beach extension in Mazunte (State of Oaxaca).in case you decide to stay a bit longer. You can take a flight from Mexico City to Puerto Escoondido. One hour from Puerto Escondido there is Mazunte where you can still enjoy some beautiful days at the beach. Another alternative for a longer stay in Mexico is Las Estacas, a natural swimming pool within lush tropical vegetation and not far from Tepoztlan.If you still have energy left you can also book an expedition to the volcanoes Nevado de Toluca (4780m) or Iztaccíhuatl (5230m).

After your tour we recommend a beach extension of 3 to 5 days to relax before your trip back home. A beautiful place to spend a couple of days after your trip is "Las Estacas" where guests can swim in a natural river with crystal clear water.
Mazunte (state of Oaxaca) – magnificent beaches around Oaxaca’s Hippie village
Mazunte became a Pueblo Mágico in 2016 but has long been an insider tip for travelers who are looking for dream beaches away from the crowds and without inflated infrastructure. After the tour you can take a train to the airport of Mexico City from where you fly to Puerto Escondido. The drive from Puerto Escondido to Mazunte takes about an hour.
In and around Mazunte visitors find the most beautiful beaches of the Pacific coast that have always been visited by alternative travelers. There are activities such as hiking to the Cape "Punta Cometa", surfing on the long "Playa Mermejita" or a boat trip in the nearby lagoon. A highlight is also the observation of whales, that swim along the coast in the winter months. Also the turtle center is defintely worth visiting.
